New Theme Cruises Announced For 2020

18th October 2019

Theme cruises are a great way to indulge a hobby or a passion whilst you enjoy a relaxing holiday on the open waves. Historically, we’ve offered a great selection of these that are aimed at a wide range of interests. And now, for 2020, we’ve just announced another fantastic selection of sailings.

Come aboard one of these theme cruises and you can look forward to the usual fantastic Star Clippers experience but with a few added extras, including guest speakers and additional activities. Here are some of the subjects for our 2020 theme cruises.

Yoga

Yoga Instructor

We recently told you three great reasons to take a yoga cruise and this is the theme with the most options available. Yoga classes are typically offered on the top deck during every cruise, but these itineraries will feature a much bigger focus and the chance to try these for free.

Instructors Anne-Béatrice Leygues, Inge Schöps, Christel Vollmer, Melanie Camp, Catherine Derrow, Allaya Cooks-Campbel, Karen Rudolph and Shannon Carlin will all be climbing on board one of our ships at different times throughout the year to offer classes in the fresh sea air, present talks on the philosophy behind yoga and also give you some helpful tips to continue what you’ve learnt when you get back home.

Cooking

Spaghetti alla Vongole

Once again, Neapolitan chef Armando Bisceglia will be joining us in October 2020, as Royal Clipper sails a Western Mediterranean cruise from Cannes. He’ll be cooking up a storm when the ship arrives in the Italian ports of Portofino and Stintino, Sardinia. As well as tasting some of the delicious dishes he serves up, you can pick his brain for some mouth-watering recipes to try at home.

Photography

Man With Camera

We have two separate photography cruises for you to choose from, on which professionals Fred Krakowiak and Julie Anne Quarry will be sharing some great tips to help you capture the best holiday pictures. Through informative lectures and by accompanying you onshore, they’ll be able to pass on some of their skills in travel, adventure and, in Fred’s case, wildlife photography.

Fashion

Tailor's Mannequin

Samantha Brown has been a regular on our theme cruises in recent years, bringing 15 years’ experience of working as a wardrobe stylist in New York. With great knowledge of the history of Italian fashion, she will host a lecture as the ship sails to Cagliari, among other ports, on an exciting Western Mediterranean itinerary. During intimate sessions, Samantha will also share her thoughts on dressing for different body shapes and how clothing can communicate different moods.

In addition to these we also have cruises that are joined by life coaches, fitness instructors, guitarists and motivational speakers. If you would like to learn more, here is the full list of our 2020 theme cruises. Call us on 0845 200 6145 to book or use our online chat service.
