Cross the Atlantic on a majestic clipper and save up to 20%

Star Clippers has an early booking discount of 20% off two of their magnificent Transatlantic voyages, saving up to £840pp. The sailings offer the opportunity to spend up to 20 nights at sea on board the full-rigged, four-masted Star Flyer, voyaging the open ocean between Europe and the Caribbean.

A 20 night sailing on board Star Flyer from St Maarten to Malaga now costs from just £1437pp, stopping just once during the crossing for guests to discover Porta Delagarda in the Azores. The sailing departs 27th March 2021 and represents excellent value at just £72 per person, per night, including a 20% saving when booked by 31st January 2021.

The second transatlantic crossing departs from Las Palmas on 20th November 2020 and the 15 night sailing to St. Maarten costs just £1391pp, (£93pp, per night) and visits La Gomera, Spain, before embarking on the 12 night non-stop transatlantic voyage. The price includes a 20% saving when booked by 31st January 2020.

Without the distractions of shore excursions and regular port calls guests on board can savour long days with just the sea, the sky and the workings of the ship, relaxing far from the stress of the world.

Daytime activities include lectures and presentations about the ships, the chance to climb 45’ to the first crow’s nest for a true birds-eye view of the ocean and the decks, knot-tying, rope pulling and learning navigational skills.

At night unpolluted skies in the midst of the ocean give clear views of the constellations, enabling guests to star gaze from the teak decks and sleep with just the sound of the ocean lapping the flanks of the ship and the wind in the sails.

All prices include breakfast, buffet style lunch, silver service dinner, snacks, tea and coffee and port charges.

Notes to editors:

Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels, with a new ship currently under construction. The ships can drop anchor in smaller harbours and visit ports often untouched by larger cruise ships and providing guests with the amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht.

High standards of service are provided by an attentive crew and all three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, a convivial Tropical Bar on deck and a comfortable piano bar and are large enough to offer first class accommodation and dining.

The two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper, take 170 guests each, with a crew of 70, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
