Two Combined Cruises You Shouldn’t Miss

12th April 2019

Are you struggling to decide which Thailand cruise to choose? Or are you not sure which Caribbean islands to visit? There’s no need to worry anymore, because we’re organising combined sailing trips that allow you to experience two very different itineraries in one cruise.

Treasure & Leeward Islands

Star Flyer

The first combined sailing trip allows guests to have an amazing Caribbean experience. You’ll get the chance to explore both the Treasure and Leeward Islands, two of the most popular destinations to visit in this region.

This will include a one-night stay in the north of St. Maarten, at the Grand Case Beach Club hotel. You’ll then hop on board Star Flyer and start your 14-night journey around the iconic Treasure and Leeward islands.

Highlights on this Caribbean cruise include sailing to Terre-de-haut, one of the many islands that make up Les Saintes, near Guadeloupe. At this destination, Star Flyer meets Royal Clipper towards the south of the island and the two ships sail along together.

This is a very rare occurrence during a cruise so, if you’re lucky enough to experience this, make sure to snap plenty of photographs to capture the amazing moment. You'll also get the chance to enjoy many white sand beaches, snorkelling trips and water sports that include windsurfing and sailing.

St. Maarten is one of the smallest islands in the world and is shared by two countries, the Netherlands and France. Split into two, the top half is owned by the French and is home to Marigot, the main town. The bottom of the island is Dutch and holds Philipsburg, the capital. Star Flyer provides guests with an exclusive experience as larger ships are unable to visit tiny islands like St. Maarten in the way we do.

When visiting Antigua, make sure you take a look at Falmouth Harbour, as it is at the centre of Caribbean yachting and a must see attraction due to its many bars, marinas and dockyards. When docking at this small island harbour, you will feel as though you are on one of the surrounding private yachts and receive a very personal experience.

Dubai & Northern Thailand

Star Clippers Thailand

Another combined sailing opportunity we’re offering you is the chance to visit Dubai, Thailand and Malaysia all in the same trip. This cruise package allows you to stay in Dubai for three nights, at the Conrad Dubai, as well as the Vijitt Resort Phuket for a further night, before jumping aboard Star Clipper.

The Conrad Dubai is a luxurious hotel offering guests beautiful accommodations with amazing views and a wide selection of restaurants. As well as having access to a pool, spa and fitness centre, you’re also right next to the Dubai World Trade Center metro station, which makes it very easy to explore the city. There are many places to visit while in Dubai, including its world-famous shopping malls, stunning beaches and tourist attractions like the World Islands and Emirates Towers.

After staying here, you can marvel at Thailand and its various unspoiled beaches and naturally beautiful areas. The friendly locals will make you feel right at home and encourage you to watch the wide variety of marine life in the crystal clear waters, as it’ll keep you mesmerised for hours. There’s also a wide selection of complimentary water-based activities including kayaking and paddle boarding, which we highly encourage you get involved in.

Whilst cruising through Thailand, you will stop in Langkawi, Malaysia, one of the 104 breathtaking islands dotted around the northern tip of Malaysia. This small patch of land is surrounded by clear blue waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. If you’re a nature lover then you must visit the picturesque paddy fields and limestone hillsides that provide a beautiful backdrop behind the Pantai Kok beach. Why not explore the tropical forests and their magnificent waterfalls as well?

You can also stay in the Vijitt Resort Phuket for one night after your cruise. This hotel offers breathtaking scenery and a slower pace of life, allowing you to sit back and relax on the tranquil beaches after your spectacular cruise.

Altogether, this creates an amazing 12-night cruise, where you’ll be on board Star Clipper for seven nights and will experience both the hustle and bustle of Dubai and the natural beauties in both Thailand and Malaysia.
