It’s Never Too Early To Book For 2020

14th December 2018

As the year draws to a close, you may already be thinking about where the summer of 2019 will take you. You might even have booked next year’s trip and are currently basking in the glory of securing a great deal months in advance.

However, perhaps now is the time to look even further ahead to 2020? It’s never too early to think about your next cruise and we already have some great itineraries available in the Caribbean and South-East Asia.

So, if you are casting your thoughts into the future, the festive break could be the perfect time for you to consider a 2020 adventure.

Treasure Islands – January 4th, 18th; February 1st, 15th, 29th; March 14th

Virgin Gorda

Start 2020 in style by sailing through the Eastern Caribbean, visiting a number of different serene islands. Your journey will begin in Philipsburg, St Marten, before you sail on to sandy beaches in Anguilla, St. Kitts and St. Barts. You’ll also visit a number of destinations in the British Virgin Islands, including an overnight in Gorda Sound on Virgin Gorda. This secluded cove is famous for a series of shallow pools along the shore which are dotted with smooth rocks and create a peaceful place to take a dip.

Another unfamiliar destination, highlighting the fantastic smaller ports that Star Clippers ships can visit, is White Bay on the island of Jost Van Dyke. The beaches here are great also, but this stop provides a brilliant opportunity to explore one of the hiking trails and breathe in the sea air.

7-Night Phuket To Singapore – February 15th and March 28th

Start your journey through the islands of Thailand and Malaysia in one of the more lively areas, Phuket’s Patong Bay. Before sailing off into the sunset, you can enjoy a night out in the many bars and restaurants whilst dreaming of your cruise in the morning. You’ll spend the next week discovering discreet islands that are only accessible by sea, diving through vibrant coral reefs and relaxing on perfect white sands.

Then, towards the end of your holiday, the sights and sounds of both Penang and Malacca will provide an exciting contrast to the tranquil days before. The former is home to one of the longest bridges in the world and a 65-storey shopping, dining and entertainment complex, while the latter offers a deep insight into the spice trade.

Grenadine Islands – January 4th, 18th; February 1st, 15th, 29th; March 14th, 28th

Tobago Cays

This relaxing cruise takes you through some of the islands in the Southern Caribbean, including some of the picturesque patches of land that make up the Grenadines. Sailing out of Barbados, giving you the opportunity to see the British influences here, you will have the opportunity to relax and discover the interesting way of life in this part of the world. Your itinerary will alternate between gorgeous beaches where you’ll be the only people there (like in Tobago Cays) and busier ports which offer plenty of history, local flavours and shopping (St. George's, Grenada, for example).

Your cruise will also include a day of mystery, where the captain will choose one of his favourite spots amongst the 300 Grenadine islands. ‘Captain’s Best’ will be a memorable day during your holiday on which you can unwind and enjoy unrivalled views.

Phuket Round-trips

Ko Surin

If you are looking for a cruise that departs and finishes in Phuket, then you have the choice between a northern route that heads up to Ko Surin and a Southern route that extends down to Penang. Highlights of the northern circuit include a stop in Langkawi, a popular island destination that offers a great mix of Thai and Malaysian culture. When you stop here, you can experience some of the best diving spots in the world or admire the raging waterfalls. Other places on this itinerary that are not featured on the Southern route include Ko Surin, a peaceful island home to spectacular marine life.

As well as destinations like Phang Nga Bay and Ko Rok Nok, which are included on both itineraries, the Southern circuit can take you to the peaceful haven of Ko Adang and the crystal clear waters of Ko Butang. Both can provide great snorkelling and diving opportunities, just two of the water sports that are included on a Star Clippers sailing.
